Former cult member will speak to Connection Club

The Connection Club will present Janja Lalich, a foremost expert on cults, on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Event Center’s Donner Room.

Lalish, a former cult member herself, has been studying cults since the 1980s, and has provided help to survivors, families and friends who have been touched by a cult in some way. When moving to Rossmoor, she thought she was retiring. But the COVID pandemic hit, and her email inbox exploded with people seeking help because of the cult-like movements rising up on the Internet.

Lalish will provide a brief presentation and have plenty of time for questions and answers. All Rossmoor residents are welcome to attend what is promising to be an exceptionally interesting presentation.

The Connection Club’s purpose is to provide the women of Rossmoor a means of establishing friendships, promoting social and educational activities, and doing charitable outreach. Check the website at www. rossmoorconnection.org for more information.
