xcursion tickets can be purchased at the MyRossmoor portal, by phone at 1-925-988-7731 or in person at Gateway Administration, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Check and credit card payments are accepted.
Excursion participants must be able to manage independently; Excursion Desk and trip escorts cannot accept responsibility for residents who cannot do so.
The Recreation Department follows current COVID-19 county and state guidelines when planning/scheduling trips and events. The Excursion Desk has the right to cancel a trip in advance for any reason. A full refund will be given for all day trips canceled by the Excursion Desk or if an individual cancels at least 14 days before the trip date. For extended trips (more than one day), refer to the cancellation policy specific for each trip.
Times listed in the News and on the ticket are actual departure times from Gateway Clubhouse. Names will be called to board the bus 15 minutes prior to this time.

“The Golden Girls Live: The Christmas Episodes” brings together four drag legends for a laugh-out-loud send-up of the beloved TV show, “The Golden Girls.” This lovingly irreverent tribute delivers sharp wit, big laughs, endless nostalgia and a fabulous dose of holiday spirit!
Directed by D’Arcy Drollinger, “The Golden Girls Live” features the return of Coco Peru as Dorothy, Matthew Martin as Blanche, D’Arcy Drollinger as Rose, and Holotta Tymes as Sophia. The cast also features Manuel Caneri, Michael Phillis, and Tom Shaw on the piano.

‘THE OUTSIDERS MUSICAL’ Wednesday, Dec. 16
Winner of four 2024 Tony Awards including Best Musical, “The Outsiders” is coming to the Orpheum Theater in San Francisco.
Based on the SE Hinton novel and the Francis Ford Coppola film, this new hit musical explores themes of class conflict, friendship, and identity.
In Tulsa, Oklahoma, 1967, Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade and their Greaser family of “outsiders” battle with their affluent rivals, the Socs. The Greasers dream about who they want to become in a world that may never accept them.

Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and its brilliant music director Rafael Payare return to Davies Symphony Hall with Shostakovich’s powerful, energetic, and intense 10th Symphony. Also in the program is Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto. Played here by Greek violinist Leonidas Kavakos, the violin Concerto is a breathtaking, emotionally intense masterpiece.

ISABEL LEONARD SINGS RAVEL AT DAVIES SYMPHONY HALL Sunday, Nov. 8
Myths and legends are at the fore of a program headed by charismatic mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard and conductor Fabien Gabel. Vincent d’Indy’s vivid Istar, derived from Babylonian myth, celebrates the goddess of love and fertility, Istar, who rescues her dead lover from hell. Ravel’s song cycle Sheherazade abounds in sensuous modal melodies and dynamic drama. Strauss’s surging single-movement Symphonic Fantasy on Die Frau ohne Schatten is based on a 19th-century German fairy tale about an empress who lacks both shadow and soul.

Broadway San Jose presents “The Who’s Tommy Musical” at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts.
This hit rock musical adapted from The Who’s 1969 concept album, with music and lyrics by Pete Townshend featuring unforgettable anthems “I’m Free,” “See Me, Feel Me,” “Sensation” and “Pinball Wizard.” The story spans post-World War II England, tracking Tommy’s journey from a silent victim of abuse to a global pinball champion and faux-messiah. Only after abandoning his celebrity and reconciling with his family, Tommy is finally able to begin living a normal life.
