Measure W fundraiser set for Fireside Room

The Democrats of Rossmoor are hosting a fundraiser on Tuesday, Oct. 6 for Measure W, the $168-per-year parcel tax for the Acalanes Union High School District (AUHSD) on the Nov. 3 ballot. This parcel tax will close the funding gap AUHSD faces.
It will continue for eight years with no cost of living adjustment (COLA) in any of those years. Home and condominium owners 65 and over are eligible for an exemption. Check the AUHSD website at https://tinyurl. com/2pheee9z for more information.
Dan Pfeiffer, former White House communications director for President Barack Obama and the co-host of Pod Save America, will be the featured speaker at the Oct. 6 event, which starts at 3:30 p.m. in the Fireside Room. With the midterms coming quickly and so much on the line, Pfeiffer will dig into what’s actually at stake nationally and how it connects to what Democrats are fighting for locally with Measure W.
Also, AUHSD students will share why they support Measure W. A $25 donation to Measure W is recommended for this event.
