18ers do the Cha Cha Cha Tournament

The Rossmoor Women’s 18-Hole Golf Club hosted the annual Cha Cha Cha Tournament on Sept. 17, where players competed as a foursome. Following the rhythm of the cha cha cha – one, two, cha cha cha ‒ the game was scored as follows: one best ball on the par- 5s, two best balls on the par-4s and (here comes the Cha Cha Cha) three best balls on the par- 3s. The top three foursomes in each of the two flights shared $28 for first place, $20 for second place and $16 for third.

Results – First flight: Okey Ro, Ki Hee Lee, Theresa Kim and Mae Marcotte, first place; Jayoung Lee, Olivia Hsueh, Laura Sato and Jane Lee, second place; and Marsha Jennings, Karyl Toms, Agnes Shin and Joanne Kim, third place. Second flight: Judith Coleman-Cohen, Betty Cuniberti, Yunho Ju and Min Ryoo, first place; Laura Ingalls, Judith Moran, Joanne Brennan and Lauralee Barbaria, second place; and Anna Kim, Myong Hong, Aisoon Hong and Janet Choi, third place.

There was one chip-in on hole 10 by Nancy Park and three birdies: Claudia Terry on hole 11, Okay Ro on hole 14 and Laura Sato on hole 16. The 18ers offer congratulations to the winning foursomes.
